एक वैश्विक हकीकत

छल-छद्म अथवा धोखा-धड़ी से पैसा बनाना संभवतः एक वैश्विक हकीकत है.इस के पीछे, मेरी समझ में, जो मनोविज्ञान काम करता है वह है: कम मेहनत द्वारा अधिक लाभ कमाने अथवा “संग्रहवृति” की मानव की भावना. बड़ा बड़े स्तर पर अपने सम्बन्धों और साधनों के आधार पर यह कर्म करता है और छोटा अपने हिसाब से अपने सीमित साधनों और संपर्कों के आधार पर. मगर करते दोनों हैं.(यों, छोटे-मोटे अपवाद हो सकते हैं) 

यूएई से प्रकाशित आज के ‘गल्फ न्यूज़’ में कुछ ऐसी घटनाओं का हवाला दिया गया है जिन्हें ‘चीटिंग’ की श्रेणी में रखा जा सकता है. जनता को आगाह किया गया है कि वह ऐसे छल-छ्द्मियों से सावधान रहे ख़ास तौर पर आने वाले त्यौहार(ईद)को ध्यान में रखते हुए. यदि पाठकों के पास कुछ अनुभव हों तो उन्हें साझा करें. मैं ने भी एक अनुभव को साझा किया जो आगे दिया जा रहा है.

यूएई एक वैभवशाली देश है और साथ ही पर्यटन का प्रधान केंद्र भी.अतः ‘छल-छद्म’ की यह बीमारी इस देश में बाहर से आयी हुयी लगती है,यहाँ के स्थानीय लोग शायद ऐसा नहीं कर रहें.

“Am reminded of exactly the same kind of incident around Apsara Departmental Store, Ajman nearly three weeks back. A car stopped by my side. One gentleman sat back in the driver’s seat while as the other one came out of the car. Polite in speaking and polished in appearance, I in the first instance thought that the second one would, perhaps, ask me for road direction or about some other location/address etc. But that was not to be. Instead, he emphasized that they were from Italy and had run short of money and wanted to sell off some suit pieces, which they had carried along from Italy. ‘Wonderful and high quality Italian fabric/cloth!’ the other one sitting in the driver’s seat exclaimed and seconded his partner’s statement. I smelt the rat. Just to get out of the situation skillfully, I offered them as little as 50 Dhs for a pack of five suit pieces, which was almost agonizing for them.(The original offers was 500 Dhs from these crooks.)

They could very easily understand my ploy as I could their’s.
